Maintenance of Construction Machinery Components in Chengdu
1:Selection of Appropriate Hydraulic Oil
Hydraulic oil serves the functions of pressure transmission, lubrication, cooling, and sealing in the hydraulic system. Improper selection of hydraulic oil is a major cause of early failures and reduced durability of the hydraulic system. The hydraulic oil should be selected in accordance with the grade specified in the accompanying Operation Manual. When substitute oil must be used under special circumstances, efforts should be made to ensure its performance is consistent with that of the original grade. Hydraulic oils of different grades must not be mixed to prevent chemical reactions and performance degradation. Hydraulic oil that is dark brown, milky white, or has an unusual odor is deteriorated and shall not be used.
2:Key Points for Regular Maintenance
Currently, the hydraulic systems of some construction machinery are equipped with intelligent devices that provide warnings for certain hazards in the hydraulic system. However, their monitoring scope and accuracy have inherent limitations. Therefore, the inspection and maintenance of the hydraulic system should combine the monitoring results of intelligent devices with regular inspection and maintenance.
3:250-Hour Inspection and Maintenance
Check for attachments on the filter element screen. Excessive metal particles often indicate pump wear or cylinder scuffing. In such cases, the machinery must not be started until diagnosis is completed and corresponding measures are taken. If filter screen damage or dirt accumulation is found, replace the screen promptly and replace the hydraulic oil if necessary.
4:500-Hour Inspection and Maintenance
After the construction machinery has operated for 500 hours, the filter element should be replaced regardless of its apparent condition. Minor damage to the filter element is difficult to detect with the naked eye. If the machinery operates at high temperatures for extended periods, the filter element replacement should be appropriately advanced.
